T- A FEW WEEKS!

Well, my Spanish-speaking life is coming up very quickly and as of right now I'm pretty pumped about it. I'm sure when the day comes I will be so nervous and afraid of getting lost (as most of you know I am HORRIBLE with direction), but for right now I am patiently waiting for my arrival in Quito, Ecuador.

My main concern right now is figuring out what and how much to pack. I have a good idea of what I want to bring, but I have a feeling that some of it isn't going to quite fit in my suitcase. I've been getting tips and suggestions from people who have been there or are there right now so hopefully that will help me to pack wisely. I believe the weather in Quito is generally in the 60's and 70's which is perfect if you ask me. When I first get down there it will probably be rainy for the first few weeks before being sunny again.

Before thinking about packing there was a lot of paperwork and scheduling that had to be taken care of, boring, but for the most part it is out of the way. Last week my dad volunteered to take me, along with Nicole and Ally who are going with me, to Newark, NJ, to get our VISA!! Thankfully none of us forgot any important documents so we were able to get what we needed pretty quickly. Thanks Dad! The man that parked our car was actually from Quito and started to talk to us in Spanish about how he is going back down there this spring for 'Carnival' so maybe we will see him down there for the pparrrtaayy! Probably not.

Visa official!

Wish me luck with scheduling classes and packing! It's is going to be a busy few weeks. :)
